    wipe ssd?

I like to reinstall windows every now and then to make it fresh again, a few months ago I bought the Western Digital SN750 NVMe M.2 SSD. When I tried to wipe it using the bootable usb thumb drive I created in the WD Dashboard non of the operations worked (sanitize, format and secure erase). Is it ok if I just use the format and delete partitions thing integrated in the windows installation process? I do not care if it is recoverable since I just want to reinstall windows for myself. I am asking this because I heard it's not healthy for the SSD to use the format process where the 0's and 1's are being overwritten and I am not sure if the windows thing is one of them.

  3. How to safely wipe the SSD and HDD of my laptop at the same time?

You can't wipe both at the same time. It's not possible to wipe an SSD currently in use. You are going to first have to wipe the HDD and then wipe the SSD using a bootable utility. If it is a samsung SSD, the samsung magician software can do this for you. Partition Wizard can wipe your HDD for you.

How to wipe an SSD Windows !0 Laptop of all Perosnal data?

    Hi,

there seems to be various post on this subject but I am unable to find the answer I need.

I have a Surface Pro 4 which I intend to sell and need to wipe all the perosnal data. There are clear instruction how to do this - but there is NO clarrification as to if this applies only to HDD or also to a SSD.

If an SSD is there any further steps needed?

Would appreciate a straight and clear answer!
