    Wiping hard drive


    I have my old work laptop not too old that I have been trying to get back to the company I resigned from for over a year. Guess it's mine now. Anyway, I want to wipe the hard drive and start fresh. Here is the issue: Bitlocker is enabled on it. I can remember that pin no prob. But, I forgot my windows login password. I downloaded a Windows installer to thumb drive and rebooted to see if that would help. Nope. Any suggestions? HP ProbookSSDWindows 10

    modder I already used kill-disk. The deletion is done, I need to reinstall everything.

    The best utility to use to wipe a hard drive is definitely DBAN. You can do an all-out wipe, or simply write all zeroes to the drive.
