    Wired Xbox 360 Controller reconnecting as 2nd player?


    When I disconnect my wired microsoft xbox 360 controller and then reconnect it, instead of staying at 1st player, it switches to 2nd player.

    There are no settings that allow me to change this and the only thing that switches it back to normal is leaving it connected to the PC when I restart the computer.


    The reason this is an issue is because some games require that I be 1st player or it WON'T. WORK.

    I have looked online in several different forums and have not found an answer to this persistent issue. I may ultimately just end up getting a new controller if I can't find an answer, but would prefer the help of someone who knows what i'm talking about and has the answer.

    The drivers for Xbox 360 Controllers are automatically installed on Windows 10. If your Xbox 360 wired controller is not detected by your PC, try plugging it into a different USB port, and then test it again.

    Wired XBOX 360 controller problem

    When I plug my wired XBOX 360 Windows controller into my Dell XPS 13 which has only two USB ports, it no longer works or lights up. DON'T suggest anything driver-related, because the controller doesn't even try to install new drivers when I reconnect it
    after I deleted its drivers from my laptop. PLEASE HELP ME
