    Hello.


    I have an Asus Zenbook Flip (UX360UAK), with Windows 10 installed. After updating to version 1803, the wireless network became very bad and instable. I see only part of the networks available, and hardly can connect to them. Nevertheless, the drivers of the device (Intel AC 8260) are up to date. I have the latest driver installed for the device: 20.70.3.3 (dated 3/9/2018).


    What have I done already:

    - update of the BIOS

    - I ran the intel driver & support assistant

    - I remove the WAN miniports in the device manager (on request of Asus technical service)

    - I remove the driver for the wireless device and went back to version 19 (on request of Asus technical service)


    Attached the detailed report of the Intel Driver & Support assistant before update 1803 (everything working fine) and after the update (big problem with wifi).


    The notebook is still in waranty, but I prefer to check for solutions myself, because if I will return the notebook, I need to wait long time to get it back.

  2. Intel dual band wireless-ac 8260 adapter issues

    HPEliteBook with Windows 7 using Intel dual band wireless-ac 8260 adapter keeps unistalling the adapter.

    Every time this happens I have to use system restore to go back to a point where it works. I have now disabled all Windows and HP updates to see if it still happens.

    How can I tell if it is the windows updates that is uninstalling the driver to the wireless adapter or if it is something else?

    This device cannot start. (Code 10). Intel dual band wireless-ac 8260

    For my system information, please see attached snippets/pngs.
    1. Dual band wireless-ac 8260 driver v.19.1.0 with Bluetooth driver v.19.0.1621 is not working, giving: This device cannot start. (Code 10).

    2. Also tried: Dual band wireless-ac 8260 driver v.19.0.1 with Bluetooth driver v.18.16.1 is not working, giving the same as in item 1: This device cannot start. (Code 10).

    3. Also tried inter-mixing the above drives; still is not working, giving: This device cannot start. (Code 10).

    4. Deleted/uninstalled the said drivers and let Windows 10 install the drivers - for ac 8260 driver v.18.40.0.12; for Bluetooth driver v.19.0.1621, everything is working fine. There might be a conflicting problem/s with the latest ac 8260 drivers.
    5. Last weird thing regarding item 4; If I "RESTART" my laptop; I also get not working: This device cannot start. (Code 10).
    6. But if I "SHUTDOWN AND START" then wait for about 20 seconds; everything is fine, the wi-fi/bluetooth works.

    Your respond/explanation/fix is highly appreciated.
