Windows 10: Wireless AC Adapter Not Listed in EliteDesk Device Manager

Greetings I just bought a refurb. HP EliteDesk 705 G4 Mini Desktop/Micro Tower with Win 10 Pro. It's the form factor that is a little over 1 inch tall. Tried a bunch of things to fix the missing wireless adapter and then tried "network reset" where the adapters get uninstalled and reinstalled on a restart. No luck. Then I read that it's important to do updates right away so I went in this direction: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitedesk-705-g4-small-form-factor-pc/21353680

An AMD chipset downloaded and installed successfully so I tried a bunch more. Most of them downloaded but every one failed to install. Now I realize that I was downloading from the wrong link. I believe this link is the correct one: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitedesk-705-g4-microtower-pc/21351257 So basically I've made a mess of things. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wireless adapter not found in Device Manager

I ran the Lenovo Solution Center. Network Adapter was not listed in the hardware scanned. Not sure if there is a separate listing for that normally or not.

Ever since I ran a power cycle the adapter has not appeared in the Device Manager.

Does anyone believe removing the adapter and putting it back would solve the issue? I would rather not open my computer if there is little chance of it solving the issue. I am a complete novice doing this.

Not sure if this is relevant but in my Network Adapter in Device Manager there was "Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter". It has since disappeared.

Method 1:

Step 1: Update network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Update option.
• Restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.

Step 2: If the issue persist, I suggest you to uninstall the network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Uninstall.
• Restart the computer for automatic installation of network adapters and check if the changes are effective.

To help you find the name and model of the wireless adapter

Click the Start button
In the search box type control panel
Click on the Control Panel that comes up
Click on Device Manager
There should be an Unknown Device in there. Right click on it and click on Properties
Click on the Details tab near the top
In the Property section, there is a down arrow to the right.
Click on the down arrow and click on Hardware Ids
In the Value section you will get two or three items that will come up.
Highlight the first item in the list and right click. Click on Copy
Open up your browser and go to Google. Right click in the search bar and click on Paste. Click on search.

Now you should be able to find the name and model on your wireless adapter. If you are still having trouble finding it,
go back to the second item in the Value list and do the same thing.
