Windows 10: Wireless Adapter AC 9462 won’t work

When i boot my pc up my pc cant find and internet options. It has the monitor symbol with the red x in it. I then have gone to device manager and tried troubleshoot, it says the adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related problems or a network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken. I have tried uninstalling the driver and shutting down then rebooting and having it auto installed. All of this doesn’t work. Also for info im not using an ethernet cable.


What should i do next?

Method 1:

Step 1: Update network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Update option.
• Restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.

Step 2: If the issue persist, I suggest you to uninstall the network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Uninstall.
• Restart the computer for automatic installation of network adapters and check if the changes are effective.

Disabled wireless frequency band is one of the possible reasons why this issue is happening. We recommend checking the band frequency settings. Follow the steps below:

• Open Device Manager.
  
• Double-click Network adapters to expand.
  
• Right-click the Wireless-AC Network Controller, then click Properties.
  
• Click Band in Advanced. Then set it to Auto
  and click OK.
