Windows 10: Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 keyboard/Mouse and Dongle Matching

Hi,


I have half a dozen or more keyboard Mouse pairs and dongles but they have not been labeled. I am trying to figure out what dongle goes with which mouse keyboard pair. From what I have read, the pairs are hard coded for each other and cannot be re-paired. Is there a P/N match or PID match between the keyboard and the receiver dongle that I can use to match with each other?


I'd prefer not to have to put batteries in every keyboard and rotate the dongles for each one or the other way around to trial test each one for mouse and for keyboard.

Is there a universal USB dongle/receiver/transceiver (I'm not sure what the proper word is) that is compatible with the Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard/Mouse 5000? The factory made one went missing and I love the keyboard and mouse so much that I'm
desperately searching for some sort of replacement.

Try to download the "Mouse and Keyboard Center 2.5" from the link for Windows 10 (32 or 64 bit) depending on the Windows that you have installed.
