Windows 10: Wireless connection of printer to laptop

I had a problem with the colour cartridge in my HP Envy 5640 printer. I replaced the cartridge with genuine new one. The printer is connected to the web and will print from my I phone but I cannot get it to connect wirelessly to my Lenovo ideapad 500 laptop. The scan/print doctor will connect it but still no print. It is asking me to download the latest software for the printer but every time when the download starts to run, a box comes up saying, "Installation failed. Error 5. Must be a member of Administrators Group to install driver package or uninstall a programme". When I checked this group, my name is there with Administrator beside it so I presume that I am on that group. Yes/No?

I checked on Microsoft website and there is a link to "Fix problems that block programmes from being installed or removed" At last, I thought. But when I click on the link a page comes up saying Page 404 no longer available!

If I have had a problem in the past with new software or connectivity, I have simply uninstalled the printer and then reinstalled with the latest drivers/software. but I cannot do this now as this error message keeps coming up and stopping me. If any one has any ideas how I can overcome this problem, I would be most grateful.

Wireless printer connectivity from a wireless laptop.

I have an ASUS (Windows 10) laptop that connects to my wireless network fine. The problem is that it doesn't see any of my wireless printers. I have 2 Brother and 1 HP wireless printers. Wired printers work fine. If I connect this laptop to my network
wired I can see, connect and print to these printers. When I disconnect the wired connection and go back to wireless the printers go gray. I have removed and reinstalled these printers which did not fix the problem. Other wired PCs work fine with these printers.
Any suggestions?

For wireless printers, check the wireless connection. Make sure the printer’s wireless option is turned on and available. Many printers have a button that displays a blue wireless icon when wireless is available.

Also, try performing a wireless connectivity test on your printer. You
can read the instructions that came with the printer or check the printer manufacturer’s website for instructions on how to do this.

We also suggest running the printing troubleshooter. It can fix issues with installing and connecting to a printer. To use this:

• Go to Control Panel.
• In the search box, type troubleshooter.
• Click Troubleshooting from the list of results.
• Click Use a printer under Hardware and Sound.
• The Printer troubleshooter will begin. Select Next and follow the steps in the wizard to find and fix issues with the printer.
