Windows 10: wireless keyboard 850 stopped working

My wireless keyboard 850 model 1455 has stopped working. A pop up menu from microsoft asked me to update my keyboard. I clicked the link to microsoft and downloaded the update and ran the program. Immediately after finishing to run the program my keyboard stopped working. I bought new batteries thinking they may be flat, but it turns out it is not the batteries. When I remove the batteries and put them back in, the keyboard green light comes up and quickly switches off.


i tried a lot of solutions but nothing works. can some one help?

continued to work which means the receiver is still functioning.

So sorry to hear that you lost your USB trans-receiver of your Microsoft wireless keyboard 850.

You have to buy a new set of the Microsoft wireless keyboard 850, you can not buy only the USB trans-receiver for the Microsoft wireless keyboard 850.

Does the 850 Wireless keyboard have a manual off/on switch? Or a button on it that turns it off?
