    With these specifications can I update my laptop to windows 11 or 10? Will it work?


    It is 10 year old HP laptop with inactivated Windows 8.1 Pro, Processor IntelR CoreTM i7-5500U CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz and Ram 8 GB. It is old and outdated but I have to run Adobe Suite Software in it. If i upgrade my laptop to Windows 10/11 and insert SSD. Will it work?

    Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

    [Windows 10] hide/prohibit install of specific Windows Update

    I have never intentionally used windows to provide my device drivers (except for older printers without Vendor drivers for clients). I only manually update from the vendor websites. Will just have to make a list of things to disable/remove if I finally decide to load it up on a machine.
