Windows 10: WMP Album lnfo

When I load an original CD into my CD rom and try to RIP it with Windows Media Player, I do NOT get any Song Titles, Artists or Album info.... Windows Media Player is NOT displaying song Information from the CD. Even if l right-click one of the CD 's tracks, select Find Album Info, and search for the correct album. WMP is not able to find the info... HELP!!!

Update KB4462919 causes album art loss in wmp

After installing October 24, 2018—KB4462933 (OS Build 17134.376) (which did not list the security update relating to wmp from above mentioned update) A reset of the wmp library was performed.

The album art did appear normally but again disappeared as soon as I did anything in wmp. Like switching from artist to album etc.

Disappointed, but not deterred. Stay tuned.

Update KB4462919 Has It's issues. This is one of them!

 

WMP not showing album pictures

Earlier today i burned a cd with wmp and it went fine, then i put all that music on to a flash drive which removed it from wmp. But when i went to add more music to wmp, the new music's album covers wouldn't show up and all of the songs were. It clumped
into tame album so i cant change the album art

 

WMP Problem

It should be there. Let's try again, step by step.

First, find out what version of Windows you have. Use the Winkey + R to bring up the 'Run' box, type Winver then click OK. You should see a version number, 1511, 1607 or 1703.

If you have 1703, open Settings > Apps. For any other version open Settings > System.

Click on Default in the list to the left (in 1703 it's called Default apps).

Scroll down the list to find 'Video player'. This will probably say the default is 'Films & TV'. Whatever it says, click on it to bring up a list of possible apps to set as the default. You should see something like this with Windows Media Player in the 'Choose an application' list. Click on Windows Media Player and it will become the default for all types of video.
