Windows 10: Wondershare app

When I re-start my laptop, I see a dialog box for Wondershare. I click to close it every day. I don't know if I even need Wondershare. Can I just uninstall it ? I ask this question because my laptop has been closing down and re-starting on its own. This has been happening several times a day. It may have nothing to do with Wondershare app. I would appreciate any technical assistance you can offer.

I installed a video editing software called Wondershare Filmora, uninstalled it but still i get Error 0x80004002.

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to search if any program related to
Wondershare Filmora is listed in the programs list as below and uninstall it.

• Press ‘Windows+X’ and go to ‘Programs and features’.
• Locate if any app\program related to Wondershare Filmora,
  once you find right click on the program and ‘Uninstall’ it.

Method 2: I suggest you to run the below fixit to uninstall the program related to
Wondershare Filmora using the below link and check if it helps.

Wondershare as a trojan

Based on what I have seen, it seems as if the Wondershare Trojan file would be found under the name of tmd5.dll. You can probably find it in your Programs. It would have likely been installed when the hacker received access to your device. I would also
believe that this is not the only other piece of malware installed, so I would suggest using an AV software and checking your device for other malware. Bitdefender is quite well made and catches most malware.

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
