Windows 10: Won't come out of sleep mode.

Discus and support Won't come out of sleep mode. in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; I have a Dell laptop with Windows 10 on it.     Won't come out of sleep mode.


    I have a Dell laptop with Windows 10 on it. When it goes into sleep mode, if I swipe the touch pad within a few seconds it will come out of sleep mode. However if I'm not at the computer so that it is in sleep mode for a while, then when I swipe the touch to pad wake it up sometimes it will wake up but sometimes it won't. If it won't wake up then I have to use the power switch to shut it off and reboot it. Anybody know what's causing this and how to fix it?

    • Are you getting any error messages?
    • How long have you been experiencing this issue?
    • Do you remember making changes to your settings prior to the issue?

    Win10 won't come out of sleep mode...

    Ok, I think I 've got it now... seems to be a battery problem...

    So, no blame on Win10... Won't come out of sleep mode. :)

    Won't come out of sleep mode.

    Does it wake up when you press the space bar or return key? The wake by mouse could have been changed by an update, because of being too sensitive.

    No, it doesn't wake up with the mouse touch pad, nor the space bar, nor the return key.

    Check device settings in Device manager to make sure that the option to allow the keyboard and mouse to bring it out of sleep. Same thing with the bios, which I would do from the actual bios, not the OEM tool.
