    Word 2007 and Excel 2007 frozen. How to uninstall


    Both Word 2007 and Excel 2007 have frozen with the an error message "The parameter is incorrect." I cannot uninstall. Route was C:\Users\Wanda\appdata\roaming\microsoft\internetexplorer\quicklaunch\userpinned\taskbar\microsoftofficeword2007.Ink

    I tried every uninstall method I know, but each time get this message with error code. My Excel 2007 shows similar route and error message. I just successfully installed Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019. How to unstall the old program?

    Afterthought:

    If you are going to stay with Office 2007, perhaps download the full installer "fresh" from MS, rather than using an old CD that probably lacks the Service Packs, etc.
    You'll need your key to activate it, but the downloads are here:

    (They're going to try to sell you Office 365, but if you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there are download links for 2007.)

    - I have installed Office 2007 Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access.
    - If you have installed other Office 2007 components you will find others shown in your own list of installed updates [once you are fully up to date].

    I suggest saving copies of each one now in case they are ever removed from the MS update catalog downloads lists.

    - Just download the updates shown in your own list of installed updates rather than the whole list provided by the MS update catalog because the catalog includes ones that were subsequently superceded by others.
    - SP3, which was a major update that established a new beginning for Office 2007 and upon which all further updates were based, is also described in https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/2526086 and the article also provides a download link for it
    - If I reinstall Office, I work through the updates list in KB numerical order starting with SP3

    Running Excel 2007 in Windows 10


    I have read of many problems trying to get Excel or Office 2007 to work in Windows 10.

    I have just aquired a new desktop PC with Windows 10 and at first copied across my Office 12 to the Microsoft office file, however it wouldn't run.

    So I installed my original copy of Office 2007 and it now runs Excel and Word okay.

    However I can open them with a shortcut and the select to open any file from the program, but if I select a folder with say an excel file and double click it to open, it shows a blank Excel 2007 spreadsheet.

    If I try to select open with... it only shows Excel 2016 as an option, no Excel 2007

    Anyone know how to fix this?
