  1. [Workaround] Windows 10 Education does not show "Purchased" or "Explore" tab

This has been a known issue for over 3 years at the time of this post. Near the end of that thread, userSiberiantiger82 suggests going to the Microsoft Movies & TV website and finding the "My movies and TV" link.

For anyone curious, this is that link:

    mswindowsvideo://location?id=movieLibrary

It's a special Windows 10 protocol link that launches the Movies & TV UWP app and takes you to the content of the Purchased tab. It does not restore or show the tab, but the content is all accessible.

You can right click on your Desktop or anywhere you like and add a new shortcut, and set the location to be that link. You can then access your Purchased content.

There may be another id that could be passed to that protocol's location endpoint as a parameter to access the missing Explore tab, but I can't find it in any documentation or searches.

To any Microsoft folks who might read this: this is 100% an issue with the Education edition. Please fix this up.

    :)

  2. Movies & TV on Windows 10 Education does not show "Explore" and "Purchased" tab.

    Hello,

I have a fresh install of Windows 10 Education and according to windows update, everything is up to date as of writing this (5/24/2019).

I am trying to use the Movies & TV app, however, as the title states, the "Explore" and "Purchased" tabs are not showing. The only tab that shows is "Personal".

Has anyone figured out if this is a feature or a bug? And, is there a fix?

    Thanks in advance.

[Workaround] Windows 10 Education does not show "Purchased" or "Explore" tab

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
