Windows 10: Workgroup group policies.

hello gents and ladies,

I am setting up a little work group at home between my laptop and desktop. and for the most part i have gotten it down pat. I know ultimatey I would need Active Directory. But what I want to know is if there is a way to set any group permission within the workgroup.

I setup access to one of my hard drive that has programs, doc, videos, music.
What I would like to do it make it so i could edit names or documents but I would not be able to delete anything.

Windows defender

when i open windows defender it sais not able to open because of group policies but i never went into a group but when i go to groups im in the group workgroup and how do i step out? and how can i use windows defender again?

• Start the Group Policy Management console (gpmc.msc).
• Open the Group Policy Object that will have the policy set in the Group Policy Management Editor.
• Navigate to Computer Configuration, Policies, Administrative Template, Control Panel, User Accounts.
• Double-click Apply the default user logon picture to all users and click Enabled, then click OK.
• Close the Group Policy Editor.
