Windows 10: Would I lose all data if I remove Microsoft account from Windows 10 login?

I mistakenly added my corporate account as Microsoft account on Windows 10. When I went to remove Microsoft account I got message it is going to remove all the data.


I would like to switch back to using local user account. How can I accomplish this without losing my data.

I am not sure if you want to switch to a local account instead of your Microsoft account, or if you want to keep your Microsoft account but login automatically instead of having to type the password.

Remove account


I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:
