  1. Wouldn't a SSD improve minecraft performance just a little bit?

I am aware i asked this many times, but if i do eventually buy a ssd, would it atleast give me a slight fps boost?

I've come to know that when minecraft is rendering a 16x16 chunk, it is also writing that chunk into the world gen files, and with my slow hdd it can cause freeze-ups and lag. But with a ssd minecraft would save the chunks faster, and load faster, so by this logic it should give atleast a 1-5% fps boost right?

And question, my pc cannot use the normal built in software for some reason, and i have to use bandicam, and i normally get 30-200 fps on only servers on fps clients, and k know that as you record bandicam is repeatedly taking screenshots of you game screen and recording the audio at that part

But the thing is, it causes my fps to drop from 30-200fps to 10-30 only. Would a ssd help this as well?

P.s my laptop has gone through lots of upgrades in the past, windows versions to other windows versions, 1x 4gb adata ram to 2x 4gb samsung ram, and salvaged a older but still better wifi chip from a hp laptop and these have helped me gain that 200fps with a fps boosting client.

    :)

  2. Now wouldn´t that b a cool feature...

    Hi,

I just read an article in the new Linux magazine on the use of Ramdisks. Using those as a file system can drastically speed up read and write performance. That would be a cool feature to build in the OS of mobile phones that hold a memory card anyway, wouldn´t
it. Then saving a large Excel sheet wouldn´t take ages as it does now (on my E61 anyway), but just a few seconds...

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

There is a complete step by step available, if you have any issues ...

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server
