Windows 10: Write Protected DVD-RW, can't format

Discus and support Write Protected DVD-RW, can't format in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; DVD-RW are re-writable correct? I tired to format it and it said i couldn't because of write protection is there any way i can remove the write...     DVD-RW are re-writable correct? I tired to format it and it said i couldn't because of write protection is there any way i can remove the write protection on it?

    Is it a DVD-RW or just a writable DVD? If it isn't RW you can't format it to reuse it

    Blue Ray Drive **** DVD Writer does not work after the upgrade to Windows 10

    Hi,

    I have Asus NX90Jq laptop which has a Blue ray reader **** DVD writer drive. This drive is functioning as just CD ROM reader after upgrade to Windows 10. It cannot recognize Blueray and DVD discs as well as cannot function as DVD / CD writer.

    Thankful to provide solution to this problem.

    Write Protected DVD-RW, can't format

    Are you able to write to CD disks?
    Have you ever written to DVDs before, using this drive? Using the same DVDs?
    The disks might not be compatible with the drive.
    Are you absolutely sure they are erasable disks ?
