    Wrong time zone detected

When I go up to my cabin, Windows always changes my time zone to Pacific. I'm in Mountain Time, and I actually go east to get to the cabin. I don't know if it's the IP address, or the WiFi network, or what, but it happens every time. If I go into Time settings and disable automatically detect timezone, I can set it back to mountain time. But if I re-enable auto-detect, it switches right back to Pacific.

Is there any way I can teach Windows the correct time zone so that it auto-detects correctly?

    :)

Automatic time and date are always wrong

Automatic time is set by the carrier.

It's entirely possible that the carrier was sending the wrong time zone and all your calendar events are synced under the wrong time zone.

Another possibility is that calendar time zone is wrong. Go to the
    Hotmail Calendar
and click "Options" in the top-right. Ensure that the Calendar's default time zone is set correctly. Hit Save at the bottom the page.

Now, open an appointment for editing in the Hotmail Calendar that's showing the wrong time on your phone. Next to the appoinment time, click "Show time zones" and ensure that the time zone is correct on the appointment.

  3. Arizona time zone bug

    Dear Danny L.,

I have a Dell Vostro desktop running Windows 7 in Scottsdale, AZ. Since Sunday, the time has been wrong. If I select Arizona time zone, the clock is one-hour fast. If I select Mountain time zone without the DST adjustment the clock is one-hour fast. If
I select Mountain time zone with DST adjustment, the clock is two-hours fast. The work-around is to select Pacific time zone without DST adjustment. This can have nothing to do with automatic location detection since there is no GPS on this machine.

    Wrong time zone detected

    Hi there

in the time on the taskbar -->date&time settings-->additional date, time -- then choose Internet time -- clock should then be set to a standard clock for your region when you logon to the Internet. The chances are you are selecting the wrong clock or your region is set incorrectly in the first place.

    Cheers
