Windows 10: X52 Pro not working in Win11 & MSFS

Hi, I used to be able to use my X52 Pro HOTAS joystick under Windows 11, using old drivers 7_0_47_1_x64 and software 7_0_56_6_x64. However a Windows update last year 2022 seems to have rendered them unusable. I've tried to install the newest Windows 10 driver 8_0_213_0 using compatibility mode, but it won't work; I can't get past the greyed-out "next" button during the install.There are no Windows 11 drivers as yet, and without drivers Windows 11 won't recognise the joystick as it used to. It appears in the "old" Control Panel but none of the properties are reachable, e.g. buttons

X52 Pro

After connecting the X52 Pro to my PC via USB I tried to access the Game Controller options from Device and Printers as suggested by Saitek website. All I see is the Test options. What am I doing wrong?

What version of Windows is installed on your device?

I suggest you go to the website below and download the Drive and install it.

Select your Windows version.

If you have Windows 10, just install the Driver.

NOTE: The driver is not available for Windows 11.

NOTE2: If you have Windows 11, please download version 10.

Right-click the program icon, click Properties, and then tap or click the Compatibility tab.

Click Run Compatibility Troubleshooter.

See if you can install it.

If not, repeat the steps above until the Compatibility screen.

check the box "Run this program in Compatibility mode"

Leave "Old version of Windows" selected

Click OK and try to run.

Retest the control and verify that it works.

Saitek X52 Pro

I have a Saitek X52 Pro installed on my Windows 10 PC.

When booting the PC loads but the X52 only partially loads, the screen on the throttle unit does not light up the date & time does not set, if I then restart the PC it will then load fully and be functional. It does not work if I shut down and then start
the PC it has to be a restart.
