Discus and support Xbox 360 controller support in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I have 3 Logitech wireless F710 gamepads that used to work, now the are recognized as either an "HID keyboard device" (I have 7 showing up in 'device...     Xbox 360 controller support


    I have 3 Logitech wireless F710 gamepads that used to work, now the are recognized as either an "HID keyboard device" (I have 7 showing up in 'device manager') or an "HID compliant system controller". I tried to update the driver (because none of my gamepads are working with windows 10 anymore) but there is no Xbox 360 controller driver that I can find on the computer. Where is is or how do I get windows 10 to recognize my gamepads? Also I used to be able to test the buttons/functionality. I can't do that anymore either.

    Hi Stephan,

    There are several reasons why your Xbox One controller is detected as an Xbox 360 controller by your PC. It is possible that the controller is not updated or if you previously used an Xbox 360 controller on the PC, it is still detecting its drivers instead
    of the Xbox One controller drivers. To properly isolate your concern, please clarify the following information:

    • Have you used an Xbox 360 controller on the same computer before?
    • Does the error message occur on all of the games that you play?
    • Have you tried to update the controller?
    • Are you using an Xbox One Elite controller?

    In the meantime, we suggest that you update the controller by following the steps on this

    Can't reinstall xbox 360 controller driver

    If you have this driver installed it should show at the bottom of Device Manager (Hidden... Why ?)

    as XBOX 360 Peripherals and be listed in Programs and Features under Microsoft XBOX 360 accessories.

    Xbox 360 Controller for Windows | Microsoft Hardware

    If it is listed in Programs and Features try uninstalling. Reboot and reinstall.
