Windows 10: Xbox 360 plug and play for PC please genuinely read

Hello,


I want to add before I get into this: I know this questions been asked before, I just wanted to know why everyone's saying the cable doesn't send data.




As seen in the attached photo, the computer recognizes there is a controller and receives driver details and a name and manufacturer. Why can it send this "data" , but not recieve the outputted controls from the controler??


Please only respond to this is you can actually provide some knowledge. I tried asking this on reddit but as usual it was just everyone repeating what one guy said even though it was wrong.

Xbox 360 games on PC?

It's not possible to play XBOX 360 Games on PC without using emulators. XBOX 360 uses a different format and while Windows may read the files it will not play it.

 

Unable to access play and charge cable on Xbox 360

I would like to inform that you can play the games using the cable. There might some reasons like:

• The battery has reached the charge limit.
• There's a problem with the charge cable.
• There's a problem with the battery.

Xbox One controller being recognized as a 360 Controller

Hi Stephan,

There are several reasons why your Xbox One controller is detected as an Xbox 360 controller by your PC. It is possible that the controller is not updated or if you previously used an Xbox 360 controller on the PC, it is still detecting its drivers instead
of the Xbox One controller drivers. To properly isolate your concern, please clarify the following information:

• Have you used an Xbox 360 controller on the same computer before?
• Does the error message occur on all of the games that you play?
• Have you tried to update the controller?
• Are you using an Xbox One Elite controller?
