Windows 10: Xbox 360 wireless receiver is not recognized by PC

I’ve bought Xbox 360 wireless receiver from Amazon but cannot connect it to my laptop because the receiver is not detected. It doesn’t show up in the Device manager. I tried to reinstall the software, update Windows with no avail

Hi...My pc cant recognize the xbox 360 wireless receiver.The receiver does not show in device manager under other devices or xbox peripherials.But my controller finds and sync with the receiver.My OS
is windows 10.The device was working fine less than a month ago.Thanks in advance.

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
2. Click OK.

• Are you getting any error codes in the Device Manager and check if it's under Unknown devices? To find the error, check the steps below:

1. Launch Device Manager, double-click the device type that has the problem.
2. Right-click the device that has the problem, and then click Properties. This opens the device's Properties dialog box. You can see the error code in the
