Xbox accessories stuck at 0% when trying to update firmware on xbox controller PC

I haven't found any solutions on the web. It has worked on other PCs before, but I only have access to this one right now. It's a brand new computer, and it hasn't worked on this one. I've tried repairing and resetting the app and uninstalling and reinstalling it, but nothing fixes it. I've even tried unplugging all other USBs from the PC when trying to update it.

    :)

  3. Xbox One Wireless Controller (Charge and Play) Stuck in DFU Mode/Bricked by Interrupted Firmaware Update through the Xbox Accessories App

    Hi DeathMetalMarine,

Staying connected is very crucial on a device when doing a firmware update. On Xbox One controller's case, the firmware must be recovered to regain it's function in case of a failure during the update. To recover the firmware, please refer to the steps below:

    On an Xbox One console:

    1. On the console, navigate to Devices and Accessories.
    2. Find the controller. It should say Update Required if it is the correct controller.
    3. Re-run the firmware update.

    On a Windows 10 PC:

    1. Install the Xbox Accessories app from the Windows Store.
    2. Once the application is installed, plug in the Xbox One controller. It should turn on and say
Update Required if your controller is visible to the PC and Xbox Accessories.
    3. Click Update Required and allow the firmware to reinstall.

Should the issue perists, consider using a different USB cable and make sure that it is firmly connected. Letting it sit idly for 5 minutes while connected has also helped some users who experienced the same issue.

If you have other concerns, let me know by posting back. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
