Windows 10: Xbox app crashes after a Windows 10 reset

I recently "reset" my Windows 10 machine. I left my data but had to reinstall all apps. I have an SSD as the main C:/ drive and an m.2 drive I'm using as the E:/ drive.

After the reset I installed the Xbox app, I am a GamePass for PC subscriber so my intention was to reinstall a few games. However, when I launch the Xbox app and I move the mouse around the home screen for a few seconds the app crashes without a warning or message of any kind. If I quickly click on a game and get the app to move to a new window before the crash it will stay open. When I went to reinstall the games I asked to install them on the E:/ instead of the C:/ drive. When I did so the old WindowsApps folder was still on the E:/ drive and I had to reset permissions on that folder in order to delete it. Once I resolved that it seemed to work fine.

XBox app crashes on launch in Windows 10

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Xbox app on your computer and check.
Follow the steps provided below.

• 
  Type Windows Powershell in search box.
  
• 
  Right click on Windows Powershell and select
  Run as administrator.
  
• 
  Copy and paste the following command.
  
  • get-appxpackage *Microsoft.XboxApp* | remove-appxpackage
• 
  Press Enter key.
  

After uninstalling the Xbox app, I suggest you to download and install the app again and check.

There are several reasons why the Xbox App (Beta) keeps on crashing. It is possible that the app is not updated or there is a software conflict with the other apps installed on your PC. To resolve your concern, We suggest that you perform the following solutions
on your PC:

Solution 1. Run the Windows Apps troubleshooter by clicking the
Run troubleshooter button on this link to fix problems with apps
