Windows 10: Xbox app on PC is still bugged and not recognising the game pass

It has been at least 4 days now where the Xbox PC App is not recognising that my account has the game pass and is telling me to purchase the game pass even though I already have it. I'm unable to download any games as it simply says "Play with Game Pass" instead of download. Many others are reporting this issue and the only response from Xbox/Microsoft I've seen is just to simply use the Microsoft Store to download the games.


I don't know about anyone else but the entire reason I got the Xbox App in the first place was because the Microsoft Store is incredibly frustrating to use and doesn't work half the time. For the last couple of days I've been attempting to download Dragon Quest that's on the game pass and the Microsoft Store for some reason will not download it to my hard drive and instead takes me to the screen to select the drive to download it to which only displays my C drive. I've tried to download other games and they immediately start downloading straight to my hard drive as I've selected in my settings.


I've never had any problems using the Xbox App to download games on the pass so it's really frustrating that the issue with the game pass has still not been resolved. I've tried every solution for the Microsoft Store to try and fix it so I can download Dragon Quest in the mean time and nothing is working as usual. Logging in and out, resetting the store, changing drive preferences, nothing works.

Xbox Game Pass for PC app and Killer Instinct

Today I signed up for the new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Upon installing the Xbox Game Pass for PC app on my system, I was pleased to discover that it automatically found 3 of the 4 Microsoft games that I purchased from the MS Store and currently
have installed: ReCore, State of Decay 2, and Sea of Thieves. These 3 games are displayed neatly on the sidebar of the app.

However, the app did not find Killer Instinct. I assume this is because the game is free-to-play and not listed on the Game Pass. So is there any way to manually add it to the sidebar along with the other Microsoft/Xbox games? If not, could the powers-that-be
add it to the Game Pass?
