Windows 10: Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 cannot update, cannot bind buttons.

I have an Xbox elite controller series 2, Its been working well for the 6 months I have had it however today I Wanted to change some bindings, So I booted up the Xbox accessories app. It came up and told me there was a firmware update required.I plugged the controller in via the USB cable it came with and did the update, this did the progress bar to 100% and then restarted the controller, The software then came up and stated its already up to date. When returning to the home screen it still showed as Firmware update required. I tried this again, and several times after but had the same r

Xbox Elite controller Series 2 on windows 10

I am trying to use my xbox elite controller series 2 with my pc and when I plug it in with the cable I received when I bought the controller, it just vibrates. Then when I hold down the xbox button it will just keep flashing. This works when I do it on
my xbox so its not the cord or controller. Also I have been able to use it with this cable in the past. Anyone know why its not working all of a sudden.

Hello, My Xbox elite controller series 2 right thumbstick just stops working + when playing Destiny 2 in menu it changes from controller to mouse back a fourth.
