Windows 10: Xbox One controller will connect 1x and 1x only over BT?

Oh man, this has me going crazy.

Long has the problem existed that if you connect via usb, you have to remove your controller and re-pair it via BT when your done charging. I accepted that more or less. (even just found a workaround of sorts)

however somewhere in between, my BT stopped working properly.

A) i dont get swift pair notifications for the xbox one controller (yet i do for my DS4, go figure) and more importantly....

B) my controller connects to BT fine when its first paired. The minute I turn it off and try to reconnect it just blinks and blinks and blinks. My choices are either to forget it, and re-pair it or toggle the pc's bluetooth off and back on in settings while its trying to connect. When bluetooth re-initializes it'll connect.

Talk about cumbersome. How can I get this thing to reconnect properly/consistently when i turn it on?

Can’t connect Xbox one controller to pc

Initially, we need to pair the device to show up in the list while connected through Bluetooth. Check with the below mentioned steps and see if it works.

Xbox Controller is not connecting to Wireless Adapter

I appreciate your time and patience to work on this issue. To have a better clarity on the issue please reply to the following questions:

• Are you using an Xbox one controller?
  

If you are using an Xbox one controller, I suggest you to refer the steps in the article

How to connect an Xbox One Wireless Controller to a Windows PC and see if that helps in resolving the issue.



I would also suggest you to uninstall all the hidden devices under USB hive and check if you are able to connect the wireless adapter. Please follow the steps mentioned below to uninstall the hidden drivers:

1. Press and hold the Windows + X key on the keyboard.
   
2. Select Device manager.
   
3. Click View tab.
   
4. Select Show hidden devices.
   
5. Expand Universal Serial Bus and remove all the greyed out devices. To remove the greyed out devices, right click on the device and select
   uninstall.
   
6. Restart your computer.

1x Eraser

EASIS Data Eraser 2.11.exe comes with 6 methods, including Bruce Schneier7 passes. It is an executable file, not an ISO one. EDE-setup.exe
The first option passes 1x (00 for all sectors) and ends in a BSOD. This is good enough! On next clean install, Windows sees nothing, it can erase nor format the hard drive.

The German way is 8 passes, but the Gutman guy’s method passes 35 times?

NB If in the first ten minutes, you are experiencing desktop stability issues, redo the clean install immediately. The Tumbleweed installer did not like the operation.
