Starting at 2:00 p.m. PST today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving the latest 1905 Xbox One system update (19H1_RELEASE_XBOX_DEV_1905\18362.3025.190412-1505) Read on for more about the new features, fixes and known issues in the latest 1905 system update.This first update is meant to lay the groundwork for what’s to come in 1905, so while you’ll find fixes and known issues listed below, please keep an eye out for feature announcements as they’re ready to be previewed. New Features:

This update lays the groundwork for what’s to come in 1905, so while you’ll find fixes and known issues listed below, please keep an eye out for feature announcements as they’re ready to be previewed. Fixes:

Clubs

Invited Users to the Xbox Club no longer needs to accept the request twice within a Club.

My Games and Apps

Additional fixes for an issue in which switching from media apps such as Youtube/Hulu to a game or from a game to a media app would crash the console.

Notifications

Users will now receive notification in Alerts when others commented in their post.

Known Issues:

Audio

Some users are experiencing no audio with headsets and we are investigating

Some users are encountering no audio on their Xbox console after boot (no shell audio, no game audio, no app audio), then have CSS ask them to perform the following steps:

Cold reboot the console

OR

Go to Audio settings on console

Change their HDMI audio settings to the highest supported uncompressed channel count for their equipment

Switch back to the desired format

Audio should be restored

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Xbox One Preview Alpha System Update 1804.180409-1751 - April 10

Starting at 2.00p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving the latest Xbox One system update (1804.180409-1751). Read on for more about fixes and known issues in the latest system update.

Fixes:

Audio

The Hulu team is releasing a new app to address the app volume is lower than expected.

System

Fixes to address general system stability and reliability.

Known Issues:

Audio

Some users may experience intermittent loss of Audio with certain configurations of AV receivers with ATMOS or with changing audio configurations during console use.

Microsoft Edge

Sometimes users may encounter crashes in Microsoft Edge when using or viewing multiple tabs or videos.

Workaround : Perform a full reboot of the console.

Pi-hole

Pi-hole users may encounter issues signing in, creating, or recovering accounts upon downloading the 1804 update. This is due to a new configuration file which is downloaded from a URL Pi-hole blocks by default.

Workaround: Add clientconfig.passport.net to the Pi-hole allowed IP address list.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter an incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Xbox One Preview Alpha & Skip System Update 1806.180612-1920 - June 15

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead Ring will begin receiving the latest Xbox One system update (1806.180612-1920). Read on for more about the new feature, fixes and known issues in the latest 1806 system update.

New Features:

Game Pass Tab

Preview Alpha and Alpha – Skip Ahead users will notice that the Entertainment tab has been replaced on the dashboard with Game Pass content. This new tab allows for easy access to the Game Pass catalog and is only available in the US region at this time, so Preview Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead Insiders in regions outside of the US will continue to see the Entertainment tab. If you have access to the new Game Pass tab, please provide feedback as we evaluate and refine the experience!

Fixes:

My Games and Apps

Fixed an issue for Games that are being updated that use the Fast Start feature. Users will no longer have the game uninstalled if they cancel a game update.

Fixed an issue with the installation and launching of the CW app. The app now launches correctly.

Localization

Various localization fixes across the console.

Party Chat

Performance improvements to the stability and reliability of Party Chat.

System Performance

Misc. performance fixes in the platform.

YouTube

The issue with some users are encountering an issue where their YouTube account is being signed out whenever they launch the app is resolved.

Known Issues:

Friends

Some users may notice that the online status of Friends is not updating correctly.

Game Pass Tab

Preview Alpha and Alpha – Skip Ahead users will notice that the Entertainment tab has been replaced on the dashboard with Game Pass content. Groups

Some users may encounter an issue where their Pins are not displaying artwork or are seeing a while tile instead of their profile color.

Workaround: Please perform the following steps to fix the issue

Open My Games & Apps

Navigate to Groups tab

Scroll to the bottom of the page

Select Delete all groups

Select Delete local groups

The Groups tab in My games & apps may not show after sign in even though you can access Groups in Guide, or you may see “This group does not exist” on Home on first sign-in for your existing Groups. Workaround: Sign in / out to refresh these pages.

Some changes might not be reflected when editing Groups between multiple consoles after coming out of connected standby. Sign in/out to fix.

Using special characters in Group names (e.g. &,”) causes issues during Group creation or using the “Add more” flow. Note: emojis are fine. This is being fixed in an upcoming build.

You may see issues with Groups if you frequently switch between your non-Preview console and your Preview console. Workaround: Reset your Groups locally on the Preview console through “My games & apps” > Groups, then using the “Reset groups” button at the bottom of the page to resync from the service.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter an incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Networking

Work continues on the stability of the Wi-Fi connectivity. If you see any issues please report the problem for investigation by performing a Full system software via the dashboard as opposed to just pressing the Xbox Power button.

YouTube

Some users are encountering an issue where their YouTube account is being signed out whenever they launch the app.

Workaround: Uninstall/re-install the app and sign in with your account again.
