Starting at 2:00 p.m. PST today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving the latest 1905 Xbox One system update (19H1_RELEASE_XBOX_DEV_1905\18362.3028.190414-1915).This update lay’s the groundwork for what’s to come in 1905, so while you’ll find fixes and known issues listed below, please keep an eye out for feature announcements as they’re ready to be previewed. Fixes to the new messaging framework

System

Performance fixes to Home and collection.

Fixes to the Gamepass twist.

Stability fixes to the system update process.

Known Issues:

Audio

Some users are experiencing no audio with headsets and we are investigating

Some users are encountering no audio on their Xbox console after boot (no shell audio, no game audio, no app audio), then have CSS ask them to perform the following steps:

Cold reboot the console

OR

Go to Audio settings on console

Change their HDMI audio settings to the highest supported uncompressed channel count for their equipment

Switch back to the desired format

Audio should be restored

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring 1811 System Update 181014-1920 - Oct. 17

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving a new 1811 Xbox One system update (181014-1920). Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1811 system update.

System Performance fixes in this build to help with system performance.

Localization fixes

Virtual Keyboard

We have fixed the issue with Predictive text not working in the Virtual Keyboard. To ensure the fix is complete please perform a Full Power down of the console.

Known Issues:

Avatars

It can take up to 10 seconds to view an Avatar on the profile screen after creating a new Avatar.

Media remote

The volume up and down is not functioning when using the media remote. Workaround – Use your TV remote or voice controls.

My Games and Apps

We are tracking an issue in which game and app updates are not automatically downloading and installing.

Power

We are tracking an issue in which the console is fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring 1902 System Update 181211-1920 - Dec. 17

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha will begin receiving a new 1902 Xbox One system update (181211-1920). The 1902 build is a new release of the recovery building upon the latest 1811 build plus new bug fixes. Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1902 system update.

Known Issues:

Cortana

We are tracking an issue where Cortana sometimes does not respond to commands

Audio

We are tracking audio issues in which some games have audio that cuts in and out

Audio settings reverting to a previous settings after taking an update. Workaround is to please turn on your Audio Receiver prior to turning your Xbox One and the settings will not revert.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

My Games & Apps

Fixes to resolve the app launch crashing problems some users were encountering when attempting to launch apps such as Hulu and Netflix.

UI fixes to the Filters in My Games and Apps to be more specific (e.g. “All Games” or “All Apps”).

System

System Memory and Performance fixes in this build.

Localization fixes in this build.

Known Issues:

Audio

We are aware that some users are experiencing issues where mics do not work. Please ensure that your controller is running the latest Firmware (Settings – Kinect & Devices – Devices & Accessories) and be sure to file feedback using the “Report a problem” tool when you experience this issue.

Avatars

It can take up to 10 seconds to view an Avatar on the profile screen after creating a new Avatar.

My Games & Apps

We are aware that some users are experiencing crashing of a game or the Youtube app when you are either launching or resuming the Youtube app.

If you are in the Youtube app and then Resume to a Game the app/game and console may hang or crash.

Power

We are tracking an issue in which the console is fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Virtual Keyboard

We are aware that special characters appear incorrectly when using the Virtual Keyboard.

We are aware that the recently used emoji’s/characters are not present when you launch the VK again.
