Windows 10: Xbox One Preview Alpha ring 1911 System Update 190909-2055 - Sept. 12

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PST today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving the first 1911 Xbox One system update (Build: 19H1_RELEASE_XBOX_DEV_1911\18363.8027.190909-2055). Please note that this build has the same features as 1910 plus setting the framework for upcoming features!

FIXES:

Mixer

Fixed an issue where playback would stop/freeze when watching content in the Mixer tab.

Guide

Fixed an issue where the Guide would show a game installing when it has been cancelled.

Accessibility

Fixed an issue with the power menu not displaying correctly with Light Theme enabled.

Fixed an issue where the narrator would not read some items in the Gamerscore Leaderboard.

System

Fixed an issue when manually closing games and apps via the menu.

KNOWN ISSUES:

Audio

Users who have Dolby Atmos enabled and console display settings set to 120hz with 36 bits per pixel (12-bit) are experiencing loss of Dolby Atmos audio in some situations.

Workaround: Disable 120hz or set Video Fidelity to 30 bits per pixel (10-bit) or lower.

Dolby Access

Users are unable to complete the setup for Dolby Atmos in the app and the app is not recognizing Dolby Atmos headphones.

Note: This is an issue with the Dolby Access app and the app developers are aware and investigating.

Guide

Users are reporting that their Friends list is not updating with correct status.

Gamertag

Customers attempting to change their GT using the new Gamertag features on the console will not yet see those changes reflected on the console.

My Games & Apps

Some users have reported that they are missing some titles from their Ready to Install section.

Note: We have added additional logging to help investigate this behavior. If you encounter this on the latest update, please submit feedback and be sure to include the names of the titles that are missing in the description.

Users have reported seeing an “Xbox Events” app in their collection.

Note: This app will be used to experiment with a new Events experience to showcase in-game events. We’ll have more to share when the feature is ready for Preview.

System

Some users have reported the console shutting down unexpectedly while using Netflix.

Note: If you encounter this issue after today’s update, the console will take longer to reboot than normal. This is expected information to assist with investigating the cause of the behavior is being collected from the console.

Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring 1902 System Update 181212-1920 - Dec. 12

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha will begin receiving a new 1902 Xbox One system update (181212-1920). Known Issues:

Groups (For Preview Alpha users)

Preview Alpha users thanks for your feedback on Groups we are not expanding the feature to more users in Alpha today based on the feedback. Stay tuned for more information on expansion and thanks for flighting and the great feedback!

If you add an system app (anything pre-installed such as Settings, Edge, etc.) to a Group, the next system update will cause you to lose its image. Workaround: Remove from Group and re-add to bring back its image.

If you uninstall a game/app after previously adding it to a Group, it will lose its image. Workaround is to remove from Group and add it back. This is being investigated to be fixed for a later build.

Pi-hole

Pi-hole users may encounter issues signing in, creating, or recovering accounts upon downloading the 1804 update. This is due to a new configuration file which is downloaded from a URL Pi-hole blocks by default.

Workaround: Add clientconfig.passport.net to the Pi-hole allowed IP address list.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter an incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Networking

Work continues on the stability of the Wi-Fi connectivity. If you see any issues please report the problems for investigation.

YouTube

Some users are encountering an issue where their YouTube account is being signed out whenever they launch the app.

Workaround: Uninstall/re-install the app and sign in with your account again.
