Windows 10: Xbox One Preview Alpha Skip Ahead 2004 Update 190905-1900 - Sept. 9

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Skip Ahead Ring will begin receiving a new 2004 Xbox One system update (Build: RS_XBOX_DEV_FLIGHT\18975.1006.190905-1900). Please note that this build has the same features as 1910 plus lots of new components under the hood!

Wish List Notifications

We’re so happy to see everyone enjoying the Wish List feature on the Microsoft Store! The October update is adding more to this feature, starting with notifications that alert users when an item in their Wish List has a price discount. We know how exciting it is when a game you want goes on sale. The new Wish List notifications will make sure you never miss a great deal.

KNOWN ISSUES:

Audio

Users who have Dolby Atmos enabled and console display settings set to 120hz with 36 bits per pixel (12-bit) are experiencing loss of Dolby Atmos audio in some situations.

Workaround: Disable 120hz or set Video Fidelity to 30 bits per pixel (10-bit) or lower.

Dolby Access

Users are unable to complete the setup for Dolby Atmos in the app and the app is not recognizing Dolby Atmos headphones.

Note: This is an issue with the Dolby Access app and the app developers are aware and investigating.

Guide

Users are reporting that their Friends list is not updating with correct status.

Gamertag

Customers attempting to change their GT using the new Gamertag features on the console will not yet see those changes reflected on the console.

My Games & Apps

Some users have reported that they are missing some titles from their Ready to Install section.

Note: We have added additional logging to help investigate this behavior. If you encounter this on the latest update, please submit feedback and be sure to include the names of the titles that are missing in the description.

Sign in

We are tracking an issue in which some users may be prompted for their password or PIN even if they have the option to not prompt. The workaround is to cold boot the console.

System

Some users are reporting that HDR is not working with games/apps on the console.

Workaround: Restart the console to get HDR working again.

Some users have reported the console shutting down unexpectedly while using Netflix.

Note: If you encounter this issue after today’s update, the console will take longer to reboot than normal. This is expected information to assist with investigating the cause of the behavior is being collected from the console.

Xbox One Preview Alpha Skip Ahead System Update 190103-1900 - Jan. 5

Last night, the Insider team released a new Alpha Skip Ahead build. Xbox One Preview Alpha Skip Ahead consoles should have already received a new 1904 Xbox One system update (190103-1900). Read on for more about the latest and greatest fixes and known issues in this 1904 system update. This build has the same fixes in 1902 plus more to be announced over the coming weeks!

We are investigating an issue where content on the dashboard may sometimes not load correctly.

Audio

We are tracking audio issues in which some games have audio that cuts in and out

Audio settings reverting to a previous settings after taking an update. Workaround is to please turn on your Audio Receiver prior to turning your Xbox One and the settings will not revert.

Profile Color

Xbox One Preview Alpha Skip Ahead System Update 180916-1900 - Sept. 19

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Skip Ahead will begin receiving the latest 19H1 Xbox One system update (rs_xbox_dev_flight.180916-1900). Known Issues:

Audio

We are aware that some users are experiencing issues where mics do not work. Please ensure that your controller is running the latest Firmware (Settings – Kinect & Devices – Devices & Accessories) and be sure to file feedback using the “Report a problem” tool when you experience this issue.

Avatars

It can take up to 10 seconds to view an Avatar on the profile screen after creating a new Avatar.

My Games & Apps

We are aware that some users are experiencing crashing of a game or the Youtube app when you are either launching or resuming the Youtube app.

If you are in the Youtube app and then Resume to a Game the app/game and console may hang or crash.

Power

We are tracking an issue in which the console is fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Virtual Keyboard

We are aware that special characters appear incorrectly when using the Virtual Keyboard.

We are aware that the recently used emoji’s/characters are not present when you launch the VK again.

We are aware that predictive text is not working correctly when using the Virtual Keyboard
