Windows 10: Xbox party chat on windows 10 hearing echo and pc sounds

My friend has a new pc and anytime he joins out Xbox party chat we all hear an echo and anything he does on screen. So any videos he watches or any games he plays. This only happens on Xbox party chat, Discord works fine and game chats work fine. We have tried changing up his mic and headset but nothing works. We have no idea any more and have tried everything we could think of and anything we could find on any forum. Please help. He currently has new Astro A-40s if that makes any difference.

Windows 10 party chat echo

When i use the app on windows 10 for party chat my friends hear themselves echo, even when I mute my mic with the switch they can still hear themselves. Anybody know how to fix this?

When I startup the Xbox app and join a party and talk with my friends in the party i have an echo but if i us my controller and plug my mic there is no echo. How can i fix it so i do not have an echo using my mic when using the windows 10 Xbox app to talk
to my friends?
