Windows 10: Xbox Wireless Adapter Driver Won't Install

I'm unable to install the driver for Xbox ACC wireless adapter usb. Here is a picture of my error:




1. I have tried uninstalling the device, unplugging the usb, restarting the computer and plugging it back in. Driver error.

2. I have downloaded the appropriate driver from the microsoft catalog, extracting it, and selecting the folder for driver install. Says detects driver, but can't install.

3. I have tried moving it to different usb ports 2.0 and 3.0.

4. The adapter works with my other computer, so I know its not broken.

5. I have used windows Update to check, and I'm all up to date.

6. I have also tried automatically searching for driver. It finds the driver, but can't install.

I understand that some steps ae done to try to resolve this issue and that you have tried downloading the drivers from the Microsoft Update Catalog. For us to help you in resolving this issue, may we ask you to do the following?

• Unplug the XBOX cable from the computer.
• Restart your computer.
• Plug in the XBOX cable and check if it will try to install the adapter.

If the above step won't work, I suggest you to follow the suggestions by
