Windows 10: Xiaomi’s Mi Notebook Youth Edition is now available

Xiaomi recently announced a new edition of Mi Notebook. The Mi Notebook Youth Edition comes with an 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM. Xiaomi is also selling the device with Intel Core i7 processor.

The device features a 15.6 inch full HD display alongside a 1TB hard drive and 128GB of SSD. The Xiaomi Mi Notebook comes with Nvidia GeForce MX 110 graphic and 2GB discrete memory.

Mi Notebook Youth Edition also includes a dual fan cooling system and a twin air outlet with 2+2 heat pipe layout. The company has offered dual 3W speakers with a chiclet-style keyboard alongside the USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet port and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Chinese company has also included a three in one card reader along with two USB 3.0 ports. If you are wondering about the thickness of the device then you should be happy that the device comes with 19.9mm of thickness.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Youth Edition Specs

• The device uses Intel Core i5-8250U processor with a max clock speed of 3.4GHz. According to Xiaomi, the device is good enough for multitasking and casual games and movies.
• There’s an NVIDIA GeForce® MX110 with 2GB DDR5 for gaming. It’s good enough to run the average games.
• The device comes with Windows 10 (Chinese version) but you can manually change the language.
• It has 8GB DDR4 RAM, 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD storage.
• Xiaomi says that 128GB SSD and 1TB is enough for you entertainment data storage.
• The Mi Notebook Youth feature 15.6-inch FHD screen with 1920×1080 resolution.
• It includes Dual Band 2.4GHz / 5.0GHz WiFi and 802.11/b/g/n/ac wireless Internet to allow you to connect to the web.
• The device features a full-size keyboard.

The Mi Notebook Youth Edition is now available for $760 from GeekBuying. It’s important to note that the device will be shipped from China and it would run Windows 10 Chinese version but you can change the language.

we have BCCode 120,

It is comming after plug in the charging cable, the cooling fan spinning up and after the win freezen, and comming the BlueScrean....

I bought a Xiaomi Notebook Air 13.3", wanted to add English langage pack but failed

Hi,

Yes, it was a W10 Single User but in.... Chinese, so no way for me to navigate well in menu, nor understand what's written =)

And I solved my problem by more or less following this tutorial (in french) http://www.minimachines.net/tutos/xiaomi-mi-notebook-air-recuperer-windows-francais-43907

• getting the WIN10 key installed by default on the Xiaomi:
  • open cmd.exe, on my XIAOMI it was Administrator by default
  • launch "wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey" and store it !
• creating a USB boot drive to install Windows 10 : https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows10
  
  (I had to do it on another PC, it didn't work on the XIAOMI ...)
• modify the BIOS as described to allow usb boot
• boot on installer
  • delete all the partitions inside the WIN10 installer
  • install Windows 10, telling "I don't have a key" (it didn't WORK/wasn't accepted it at this point !!!)
• after windows 10 installation / reboot, go to Activation (Parameters -> Update and security -> Activation)
• Enter the stored WIN10 key : not accepted on my XIAOMI, but after that I clicked on troubleshoot
• and it did the repair of the activation =)
