Windows 10: XP windows update......NOT

GM I have windows 10 on my desktop, have had it for a long time...


But when windows tries to update it tries to update windows XP, I do not have XP, I think maybe when I got the computer it had it on the computer.


Anyone one know how to stop this?


I was on the phone for over an hour with windows tek support, nothing, he told me don't worry about it, great answer...


The problem is every time I look down and see the yellow flag I take time to see what is wrong..


I just want it to stop.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows XP update and internet Issue

Microsoft has been shutting down some of their XP update server to prepare for the end of life of XP. That means that if your ISPs DNS servers are slow at updating then you will be trying to use servers that no longer exist.

I suggest you download the latest XP roll-up disc, it will have most of the updates you need and I also suggest hard coding a Google DNS as your primary DNS in your router.
