  1. XPS printing from Edge browser does not print images to XPS

    Hi all,
hoping this is something you can assist with... I don't have a printer so I often print websites to XPS file - so that i can view them offline on my phone

I use Microsoft Edge (on WIn10 64) to print websites like wikihow articles to XPS (using the built in XPS printer in Win10 - Microsoft XPS Document Writer)…. but i'm finding that the resulting XPS only contains the text from the website, and not the images.

I have looked at various settings and looked around on the web for help, but I cant find a way to fix it

is this anything anyone else has experienced? or knows how to fix? I need the pictures to be included
    thanks!

    :)

    • In Print Settings dialog, select Printer that you want to use. Select "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" if you want to print to XPS document or select "Microsoft Print to PDF" if you want to print webpage to PDF file. You can also select any physical
printer to print webpage to paper.
    • Select other print options like print orientation, pages that you want to print, scaling, margins and option to print page headers and footers.
    • Click on "Print" button in Print Settings dialog to start printing current webpage to your selected printer.
    • If you have selected Microsoft XPS or Print to PDF as Printer, Microsoft Edge will save generated XPS or PDF file to your Documents folder with current webpage title as file name.

  3. Print to XPS with XPS service off

    Hi,

We have an application here that user Print to XPS to generate files for Print and Print Preview. An upcoming security related project wants to disable Print to XPS (XPS Service & Viewer) so the user will not be able to Browse through files and do some file
create, edit & delete. My question now is, since our Print feature relies on Print to XPS, would there be a way to programmatically (C#) create an XPS document with the XPS Service & Viewer disabled?

  4. XPS printing from Edge browser does not print images to XPS

Printing to XPS fails on Windows 10

    Hi Dan,

I can understand the inconvenience caused to you. I would be glad to help you.

I would suggest you to refer the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Search for Device Manager, or do Win + R and then
      DEVMGMT.MSC.

    • Go to 'Print queues' then uninstall both the PDF and XPS print queues.

    • Search for 'Advanced Printer Setup', or look this option in the Control panel.

    • Select 'The printer that I want isn't listed', in the next window choose 'Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings', select 'Use an existing port:' then in the dropdown select 'FILE: (Print
      to File)'.

    • In the next window, it will appear a list. Select Microsoft then in the second list select 'Microsoft Print to PDF' and next.

    • Select 'Replace the current driver' and then next

    • Give the printer a name (I suggest the original name) then next and it shall reinstall the printer and its driver.

    • Repeat the process but now instead of selecting 'Microsoft Print to PDF' in the list, select the XPS one.

    • Restart and see if it prints now.
