Windows 10: Yet again... another failed update! 1803 - 1903!

I have 4 different PCs, 2 notebooks and 2 desktops so far the Windows 10 1903 upgrade has failed to install on any of them. The worst problem was with the newest on an Asus TUFF gaming notebook, 1903 upgrade attempts sent it into the dreaded "Windows upgrade install failed, restarting" loop. Yea, the latest 2018 Asus gaming notebook had the worst of the issues. The other 3 would at least reboot to 1803 and tell me to "restart to update" in the notes after every failure... Lost count! This is pathetic... I'm getting ready to build a new workstation in the next couple of months, makes me wonder if a brand spanking new PC will fail just as miserably as nearly the brand spanking new Asus Notebook. When I look(ed) through the millions?@!! of tech support pages on 1903 failures it is apparent there is a real problem (yet again) with a MS major update to it's latest greatest Windows releases.


Telling me to "do a clean install" is just a bogus way of saying there are no answers or fixes to the multiple 1903 failure issues, and the last time I did a "clean install" with an earlier Win 10 problematic update... it robbed me of my paid for Windows 10 Pro upgrade. Yes robbed me of it, again all of the "tech support" requesting and searching never got my paid for upgrade to Pro back, and MS never replaced it.


So, is Microsoft ever going to get the 1903 release fixed or is it time to start learning a lot more about Linux or finally shift to Mac? I have for now shut down all windows updates to my 1803 machines, as at least it still boots up and runs. Is there any hope of getting the 1903 fixed stably enough to actual trust attempting to upgrade to is again with out putting your PC in a startup loop or just being bugged to restart your machine for an update that does not install?


I give up on MS for now I think... Some serious considerations to think about on getting a new machine before plowing ahead to with building a new Windows machine! What is the LATEST released update/upgrade to 1903 since the May 19 roll out?

Win 10 1803 to 1903 update

My Desktop computer running Win 10 updated from version 1803 to 1903 a while back, but my Desktop running Win 10 version 1803

I'm assuming the update 1803 to 1903 has now resumed after the earlier problems caused a suspension?

Any thoughts, suggestions?

Hi..I recently downloaded and installed the new windows updates..I have the 1903 update on desktop but a failed on my other desktop that has 1803..it fails on downloading the 1903..is there a site or link that i can go to and get the 1903 update?thanks

 

Windows Home 10 update from 1803 to 1903

I have windows 10 x64 home edition, version 1803.

I'm trying to update it to the new onw, version 1903, but my pc freezes every time when the installation is going to finish (around 80%).

I tried to update the OS in different ways:

1. Start > Settings > Update
   & Security > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates.
   If updates are available, install them.
2. Download the Update Assistant
3. Download the Media Creation Tool 1903

The result is always the same.

No errors, only pc freezing.

What do you suggest to do?
