    Since you are referring to your original post, I must admit, that I don't see any differences between the two f-s.

    My eyes are not so accurate any more, but I check it with lenses. They look the same to me.

    Edit: when magnified I get the effect you described.

    I suppose it's because she uses a different resolution, or a different font size maybe, but basically everyone is affected, that's my opinion. Maybe she should look at another settings page...
