Yet More Nvidia Control Panel Annoyances

As per other threads, i tried a few things to stop getting this thing updating itself to a glitched version, nothing stopped it. i've had a couple of display lock ups, so as per other times i used Display Driver Unistaller to remove the driver, put on the driver version i had saved off, and all was good. as usual, Win IMMEDIATELY went off and downloaded the up-to-date glitched drivers, and put them on. this time however, i can't get Nvidia Control Panel to open to change my settings. it's on the Start menu, but when i click it it does nothing but bring up the licence pop-up. GeForce Experience is there, and that opens fine. i've tried a restart, Resetting the app and Repairing it, nothing helps. it doesn't appear on my menu when i right-click the desktop, so now all my colours are effed up >:-( any suggestion please? TIA

    :)

Your gfx card control panel annoyances

Are there things about the way the control panel for your card is designed that bug you? Would it cause you to buy one GPU brand over another because of it?

Well, I have a few annoyances to report, especially with ATI, which has made me prefer buying nvidia for quite some time, besides the usual performance reasons:

    ATI

Why the f*ck did they get rid of the tree menu on the left?? *Mad Yet More Nvidia Control Panel Annoyances  For every option, you have to do that extra step of clicking at the top left of the control panel window to reveal it. Drives me bonkers this one and makes me prefer nvidia just because of this alone.

Can't turn off AA & AF, only set them to either 2x or application controlled. I can turn it right off on the nvidia control panel.

Not as many 3D options as nvidia. What use is it if it doesn't allow you fine-grained control over your graphics card?

Similarly, you can't have game profiles, like you can with nvidia.

    nvidia

Have an annoying habit of removing features, such as:

    - the realtime framerate graphs overlay. This was available around 2003 and didn't last very long. A real shame.
    - Hardware monitoring (I think this has moved to a separate app, though).
    - Driver update detection from within the control panel.

There's other useful features they've pulled, but I can't remember what they were now.

Custom modes function hopelessly broken and always has been. This is a fantastic feature that I would use a lot. If only it worked. *Bang Head :banghead: If they're not gonna fix it, then why not just pull it?

    NOW TELL US YOUR ANNOYANCES!

Windows 10 version 1903 Nvidia Control Panel issues.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that nvidia Control Panel is not accepting desktop color settings correctly, In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, we would need some
    information.

    1. What is the Make and the Model of the computer?
    2. May I know the Model of the nvidia Graphic card?

I suggest you to try the following methods and check:

Method 1: Change the output dynamic range to full.

    1. Open nvidia control panel.
    2. Click on Display.
    3. Select Change resolution.
    4. Output dynamic range
    5. Set this value to Full.

Method 2: Update nvidia Graphic driver.

Suggest you to update the nvidia Graphic driver from the

    nvidia website
and check if it fixes the issue.

    Thanks,

    Suman.B

    Nvidia Control Panel Missing

Do you have the DCH driver installed? You need to grab the controlpanel from the Microsoft Store if you do. If you don't then just DDU your driver in safe mode, plug out the ethernet/wireless connection and install the standard Nvidia driver manually. This will fix it. I can write or link you a step-by guide if you are unfamiliar with it.
