Windows 10: Your device is offline. Please sign in with the last password used on this device error

So I've been trying to login with my dell laptop for days now. Here's what I've already done:



1. Changed my password five times now.

2. Checked the internet connection. It's working and I'm on a wired connection

3. Tried safe mode but it says the password is incorrect even if it's the right one

4. Tried opening the cmd but i only get blue screen with "stop critical" something like that.



I still haven't done the system reset or the other one because I don't wanna lose my files. I think I've been troubleshooting this for four days now

After upgrading to Windows 10 I noticed that I could not access my MS OneDrive. A post on the Microsoft 10 forum suggested logging out of the MS account and into a local account and back again. But upon logging into the local account I did not have the option
of logging back into my MS account. So I hunted around and tried minor things like reboot without success. So I went back to the forum (Mistake #2) and they suggested restoring to a previous update. I did so and my MS account log in returned...BUT...It would
not let me log in. The error message I received was "Your device it's offline. Please sign in with the last password used on this device." Additional Microsoft advice has been to reset my password and run the Microsoft Account Troubleshooter. Changing the
password did not work and obviously I could not run the troubleshooter on the PC but when run on another PC everything checked out (no surprise).

I appear to have network access and have attempted to log on in safe mode. In that instance the error message is simply "The password is incorrect. Try again." Naturally, I have tried every password I have ever had.

This is a link to the exact issue from another forum, however, the Storedidentities key they reference is not in my registry (which may very well be the issue).
