    Your organization's policies are preventiing

    All of a sudden when I click on hyperlinks in a Word file, it fails to connect and I get this message: Your organization's policies are preventing us from completing this action for you. For more info, please contact your help desk. I'm working alone on my Win 10 PC. I've searched for solutions online but they're all related to Outlook, which I don't use, and IE which I also don't use. Is there a way to fix this without having to edit the registry? Many thanks.

    :)

    Problems with *settings managed by your organization* and/or group policy setttings.

    Hello, some months back I think based on an update; I started seeing this message. I have been trying to troubleshoot this by searching for answers and trying various troubleshooting steps. This list is not exhaustive but;

    I have tried to change the telemetry data.

    Tried to change through elevated admin cmd prompt.

    Tried to reset group policy settings to default.

    Tried using gpedit.msc

    Changing privacy options.

    I have windows 10 pro and this is my personal computer, not intended to being a part of any organization. This is preventing me from making changes to my system that I want to. Please assist.

    Hi,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    We will need few more details so that we can narrow down to the root cause of the issue and assist you with appropriate troubleshooting steps. Please reply with the answers to the questions below.

    1. Are you facing this issue on a browser or any other application?
    2. Is your system connected to the Domain?
    3. Which website are you trying to access?

    If you are connected to a domain or an organization network, you will get this error when the site or the link is blocked by the network administrator, I suggest you to check with the IT department and unblock the link.
