Windows 10: Your Rotten Phone Companion Strikes Again

My computer crashed. So now I'm on a new computer. The setup was going just great. And then I decided to install Your Miserable Phone Companion Which Only Exists to Make People Suffer.

I've installed Visual Studio, WinSCP, Powershell, etc. But Your Disgusting Phone Companion really comes out first (or last).

There is the icon in my task bar. I click it I get a screen telling me that a new version is available. So click Update.









Launch goes back to the Install screen.

I click on the 3 dots. One says install. I click that and go back to the first screen.

I mean, is this intentional?

Surfshark Blocks Your Phone Companion - Can't Whitelist?

I've installed Surfshark VPN on my PC and phone. Naturally, this breaks the connection between my phone and PC using the Your Phone / Your Phone Companion apps.

Surfshark tech support says to whitelist the Your Phone Companion app. However, Your Phone Companion does not show up in the list of applications, either from within Surfshark or in the main Android applications list. (And yes, it is installed, before anyone
asks. It was working fine before installing Surfshark.)

Any suggestions?

Trying to send attachment with Your Phone, won't go...

... but Your Phone still can't send it!!! *Confused

 

Has anyone been able to get phone companion to work

Hi,

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Phone companion app and check if you are facing the issue

To uninstall the phone companion app please follow the steps below:

• 
  Type phone companion in the
  search box.
  
• 
  Right click on
  phone companion and click on uninstall.
  

Once it is uninstalled, you can reinstall it from windows store.
