Windows 10: Your Software detroyed valuable intellectual properties of mine

I just installed your software (Windows 10) less than 20 hours ago. Upon installing it said, you'll be able to access your files under a folder named "windows.old" . I proceeded. After the installation, the files were indeed there and, were able to be accessed. However, after a few hours, the windows.old folder was no longer there; it disappeared with very important intellectual properties of mine.
Reading online, I found that some are saying that after 10 or 30 days, your software will automatically delete the windows.old folder. Well first,
1) it has not even been 20 hours in my case;
2) your software offered no indication/instruction that files would be deleted -- instead, it advertised the otherwise;
3) what kind of idiotic idea is it to "automatically delete" -- what the hell is "automatically delete"? You don't automatically delete!? How do yo automatically delete properties that are not yours? That makes no legal sense. (to the very least, upon delete the files, your software ought to output a warning message (as it does so annoyingly with unimportant tasks);
4) what is the purpose of deleting those files? I wait to hear a sensible reason for your software to "auto-delete" my intellectual properties, from my computer.

I need this matter addressed VERY seriously. I'm going to need my files or the value of which reinstated!
