Windows 10: Youtube fullscreen shows taskbar (Chrome)

I found a solution, open a folder go to the task manager and go to processes and restart the Windows Explorer, this should work.

 

I think this was mentioned before, I recall it didnt work for me.

 

It just happened to me recently and right now my temporary fix is to press the WINDOWS button twice whenever it happens in a fullscreen YouTube video and it will go away

 

Okay, I found a fix and even though it changes your computer a bit, it still works


1) Right click on the taskbar

2) Click 'Settings' or 'Properties'

3) Check 'Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode'

4) Go back to youtube and you're done!

Just move your mouse to where your taskbar used to be and it will appear

You can keep it like this to avoid future problems or you can change it back and the taskbar will disappear when in full screen *Wink

Thanks I will try it next time this happens, it actually did happen last night. I got bigger problems trying to recover damn cortana so my windows start search will work again. Computers..... dang glitches.

The taskbar "disappears" but is there a border of some kind that replaces the area?

 

I did that before but then it comes to be annoying when sometimes I hover the mouse down to where the task bar should appear and it doesn't show up until I quit the app I'm on to the desktop

 

But as I remember it, its not just the taskbar. Its the website border as well obstructing during the glitch.

 

right click on your browser (not on your toolbar) and go to properties then compatibility and check the box disable screen changing by high DPI (or something like that) and everything should be fine and dandy

Thank you. And resetting the browser to default helped me and on another computer I tried as you said that saved me from resetting again. Because I am lazy to activate all the plugins again and again *Wink

 

That doesn't work either. Its not just Youtube that does this on. I play World of Warcraft and many other fullscreen games, and the toolbar is showing up over all of them. Its a huge pain!*Confused

I fixed this problem just now by going to setting then typing in the search bar Taskbar settings and then look for use peek to preview and just uncheck it and done and if it happens again then just repeat this again.

 

I get this randomly when i'm on Chrome Youtube. All i do is if there is a "windows live" icon in the taskbar, (laptop icon) simply right click and choose close window. This then allows the taskbar to disappear! Hope this helps *Smile
