Windows 10: Youtube problem or my PC

i can watch video for 10-20mins no problem sometimes, but sometimes it happens after minute or two.. very strange behavior.

 

Being straight-forward, it doesn't matter what it says. To get the best driver, you must go to the motherboard/computer manufacturer's website (Dell, if I'm not mistaken), and download the Windows 10 specific drivers for your computer. A good BIOS update also can be helpful in this situation, but with those, you'll want to back up any important files, or the drive, or do an image of the drive in case it fails.

In summary, you will need to check the website. Most often, people will say that the company doesn't provide those drivers for Windows 10, and I get a good, "Ah, HA!" moment, because that is most often the reason for the issue.

 

Can you help me finding drivers if i give manufacturer and version number? Because i am not really good at downloading them manually and don't want to download wrong drivers.

 

Oh sure! I see your specs now list HP 110-001ea. Is this a desktop computer? If this is the right one, I found the HP website for you below.

The website gives the option to detect your system and update your drivers automatically, or you can do it yourself. It didn't seem to give many choices in region, but the two that stood out to me are:

Not entirely sure if there is any real difference between the two. I didn't see your region listed unfortunately.

Remember, the website provides a way to automatically detect your system to make it easy if you prefer.

 

So i did that and it said that Windows 10 drivers may be available through Windows Update
And windows updates shows no available updates. So, should i reset my windows? But i'm a bit scared, because last time i tried to reset it, while doing it my PC just froze, like totally, had to install windows 7,get all updates, and download windows 10 again.

I'm thinking maybe some kinda updates conflicts with Chrome somehow?

This message was from HP website, now automatic detection program runs on my PC. i don't know why it started after 5 mins after installing it.

 

No, only need to reset updates if you have trouble updating. The thing with Microsoft is they'll provide a general driver, or a driver that was not 'approved' for use by the manufacturer. It is a cheap way of getting out of providing them themselves.

I haven't had any conflicting updates myself, so I don't think that is the cause.

You can remove the program it installed, no problem. [Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features]. Right above the programs you have will be the category they are under (Name). If you look to the right, you can see the Installed on category. Click it once, and you'll get the most recent program you installed. You can then remove it. Let me look up some stuff and I'll post in a bit.

 

So I found out why HP said that. They don't provide the drivers for Windows 10. That means your using a whole bunch of general drivers. This is what I would guess the problem stems from.

Drivers provide stability, speed, and more. It may be why the crash you mentioned happened, not because of your attempt to fix Windows update. That would be my guess.

Because they don't provide the right drivers, there is little I can do (someone else might have an idea though).

The way I see it, you could go back to Windows 7 (and get those drivers from HP, because they have them), and have more stability, or continue on with Windows 10, ignoring the problems that pop up from time to time. That is the cold hard truth, and it is never fun. In whatever you choose, best of luck. Take care.

 

Keep in mind that they might eventually provide drivers, but I have no idea. It looked like they didn't have Windows 7 drivers, either. I only saw Windows 8 and 8.1

 

Any time you have a computer issue, don't hesitate to come to these forums and ask about it. For instance, you needn't have even downloaded windows 7, all you needed to do was install 10 again like here: Windows 10 - Clean Install - Windows 10 Forums - could have saved you quite a bit of time, perhaps.
