Windows 10: Photo viewer will not link to Maps and crashes

When a photo file has gps data, Photos file information shows a map indicating the location. Previously I could click on "Open map" under the map to open Maps app. Now I get no response and the Photos app crashes after several seconds.


Has anybody any idea about what has gone wrong?


Also it would be good if the data above the map could show the coordinates not the name of the area in which the coordinates are. Am I missing a setting?

• Is the issue only occurs with the photos that were captured using your DSLR camera?

How to get rid of raw file support in windows photo viewer?




I have downloaded this, and it did not work; photo viewer is not in the list of programs in Open With or Default App. I used option 2 step 3, followed by step 5 to 9.
