Windows 10: 1903 installation defective

Two days ago I upgraded my Win 10 Pro 1809 to 1903 and encountered strange behavior. First was the "Notepad freezes" issue and next was an inability to mount an ISO. Notepad would come up but immediately crashed, with a black patch. I could run the 1809 version from Windows.Old.

ISO files are shown on File Explorer (and Total Commander) but when double clicked bring an error that "No application is associated with the specified file for this operation."

Today I tried again and went through a fresh upgrade. No improvement. Before I install 1903 cold perhaps someone can offer a fix.

As far as Wifi any chance it is Qualcom inside USB adapter, if Qualcom then yes known issue.


I might create another user (Local) and when if try again see if this issue occurs on both users.

Would also suggest you run the first 5 steps in this tutorial to see if you have any corruption with current build.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows 10 infinite restart black screen


The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
