Brightness slider replacing brightness quick action button from 1903

    Hi all

Does anyone else feel like they've lost some functionality here?

For clarity, I'm talking about option 3 in this very useful guide.

I understand that the new slider gives more control, but the previous method was very quick to change in increments of 25%, and I tend not to always need such granular controls beyond this.

My suggestion would be to keep the slider, but to turn the bulb icon just to the left of it into a button which increases the brightness in 25% increments per the previous quick action button functionality.

    Thoughts?

    :)

  2. Brightness slider in Action Center and settings

Why is there no Brightness Slider in the action center when the upgrade to version 1903 clearly says that there is a slider there? The brightness settings on my screen are awkward so I would prefer to just take the user friendly option that 1903 is advocating.
I can't see a slider in settings either.

    Thanks for any help.

No brightness slider in Action Center after Creators Update

I get a brightness button in action center just like this pic which doesn't show the percentage and although it's clickable nothing happens, however i can use the slider in display settings and also adjust the brightness via function key but the onscreen brightness button in action center is not working from today, what's happening?

No brightness slider in Action Center after Creators Update

Hello DJ, Brightness slider replacing brightness quick action button from 1903 :)

It will be an action button instead of slider in the action center. The action button that has a star icon with 100% underneath it would be for brightness. You can click/tap on this brightness action button to change your brightness level in increments like in Option 3 of the tutorial below.
